You will not be bored reading this author. I enjoyed Mr. Lamanda's other works including Walking Homeless, and now am reading this sequel. I never thought I would cheer on a character that was a former assassin. John Tibbets is an appealing protagonist. I honestly don't want this exciting book to end. This accomplished Mystery/Crime writer has been a great introduction into the genre for me. I understand now that one definitely needs a book that keeps one riveted with each twist and turn. We live in times when a quick read to keep one company where other forms of entertainment may have failed us is always welcome. Entertainment, suspense and action are just a few things that this author accomplishes in a seamless fashion. Surely this and his other novels are only a beginning of a body of work that will continue to entice and entertain readers for a long time. It is clear that Mr. Lamanda has honed his craft as he has continued to create riveting novels. I look forward to his other works: Buddy Can You Spare A Dime, and Harbor. His earlier works are all worth reading. Mr. Lamanda clearly loves to read as well as write riveting mysteries. From his first titles to this one this author is able to entertain with a writing style that is crisp and sometimes even dipped in a bit of humor. As Mr. Lamanda continues to bring creativity and imaginative twists to his work I hope you will join me in reading them. In the time you have read this review you could have read a good way into any of Mr. Lamnda's works and you would not have wasted your time.
